In this innovative project, I embraced the opportunity to create and cultivate my own brand, Meadow & Wilde, using a design thinking approach to reimagine the packaging of a beloved daily essential. My choice fell on floral secateurs, a tool close to my heart and integral to my work as a florist.
My journey began with a deep dive into understanding the user experience, aiming to enhance not just the product’s functionality but also its aesthetic appeal and practicality. I explored various avenues for merchandising opportunities, always with the customer’s experience at the forefront of my mind.
The culmination of this thoughtful process led to the creation of a unique packaging solution: a slide drawer box that doubles as a display stand, paired with a carry tote for added convenience. This design not only elevated the presentation of the floral secateurs but also provided a practical and stylish solution for storage and transport.
Every aspect of the packaging was meticulously crafted to reflect the Meadow & Wilde brand ethos, blending functionality with a touch of elegance and simplicity. The result was a packaging design that not only enhanced the user experience but also created additional value through thoughtful merchandising opportunities, truly embodying the spirit of design thinking.
